The Taste of Adventure has been designed for travelers short on time and keen to experience Kadavu’s wilderness and culture.

Trips begin and end at any local resort. For three full days our indigenous guiding team will take you sea-kayaking, snorkeling and hiking through their world of reefs, bays, beaches and forests. Children and non-paddlers are welcome. You’ll have a motor-boat in support so the activity level can be adjusted to suit your group.
You’ll get a genuine experience of Fijian culture, hospitality and way-of-life. You'll have two nights’ in a small village accessible only by boat or on foot. You’ll be welcomed with a traditional sevusevu ceremony and a meal of typical Fijian dishes, with most ingredients harvested directly from the surrounding land and sea. If you’re interested, you can assist with the food-gathering and meal preparation.
More about the accommodation:
You'll sleep in a family home with private bedrooms and access to a shared bathroom (flush-toilet, cold-water shower). Electricity will be limited. The food will be healthy and plentiful, with abundant fresh water, safe to drink.
Kadavu Island village life is not always comfortable and seldom luxurious. Common household appliances are not common at all; furniture is rare. Most meals, meetings and social get-togethers are held seated on woven mats on the floor. During the night you may be woken by roosters crowing, people singing and coconuts falling on tin-roofs. These are the sounds of real village life and part of the Taste of Adventure sea-kayaking trip.
